Ośrodek Yacht Clubu “OPTY” jak i siedziba władz klubu mieści się nad zalewem Dzieckowice II na terenie Gminy Chełm Śląski w Powiecie Bieruńsko – Lędzińskim z siedzibą w Bieruniu, woj. Śląskie.

Yacht Club “OPTY” (dawniej Klub Żeglarski “Huta Katowice”) jest jednym z największych i najprężniej działającym klubem żeglarskim na terenie Śląska.

Ośrodek stanowi bazę do aktywnego wypoczynku oraz uprawiania różnych form rekreacji dla ponad 200 członków Klubu. Akwen o powierzchni około 750 ha oddalony 20 km od centrum Katowic stwarza doskonałe warunki do uprawiania żeglarstwa regatowego. Przeważają silne, równo wiejące wiatry co stwarza, że akwen ten jest tez doskonałym miejscem do uprawiania windsurfingu.

Na terenie naszego ośrodka działa UKS SILESIA OPTY Stowarzyszenie Żeglarstwa Regatowego, które szkoli na “Optimistach” dzieci w wieku od 8-11 lat.

The Yacht Club "OPTY" (formerly the Sailing Club "Huta Katowice") is one of the largest and the most active sailing club in Silesia.

The center is a base for active recreation and practicing various forms of recreation for over 200 members of the Club. The 750 ha water reservoir located 20 km from the center of Katowice creates perfect conditions for sailing regatta. Strong, evenly blowing winds prevail, which makes this reservoir also a great place for windsurfing.

In our center operates UKS SILESIA OPTY Association of Regatta Sailing, which trains "Optimists" children from 8-11 years old.
